Editorial & advertising policy
How we research, write, review and correct our content — and how we keep advertising separate from health information.
Sources
Every guide is written in line with current public guidance from recognized bodies such as the American Academy of Pediatrics (HealthyChildren.org), the NHS, the World Health Organization, the CDC, Nemours KidsHealth, the American Academy of Dermatology, and national child-safety organizations. Each guide lists its key sources.
Writing standards
- Plain language, short paragraphs and clear "when to see a doctor" guidance.
- Clinical, respectful, age-appropriate language. We never publish sexualized or graphic content.
- Inclusive wording that respects every body and family.
Review & updates
Guides show a "last updated" date and are re-checked at least every 12 months, or sooner when guidance changes. We are building a panel of credentialed reviewers (physicians, nurses and health educators); reviewed guides will display the reviewer's name and credentials.
Corrections
If you spot an error, contact us. We correct verified errors promptly and note significant corrections at the end of the affected guide.
Advertising
- We display ads served by Google AdSense. Ads are visually separated from content.
- Sponsored content is always labeled "Sponsored." Sponsors cannot edit or approve health information.
- We do not accept advertising for diet or weight-loss products, cosmetic procedures, dating, alcohol, tobacco or vaping, gambling or adult content.
- Mentioning a product type (for example, "pads" or "antiperspirant") is never an endorsement of a brand.
